Job Description:
As an IMDS Engineer Trainee, you will have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience supporting automotive companies in managing material data compliance with global standards such as IMDS, REACH, and SCIP. You will work within a dynamic team, learning to ensure data integrity and regulatory compliance within the supply chain, while assisting clients in meeting international requirements.
Responsibilities:
- Learn to manage material data submissions and updates within the International Material Data System (IMDS), according to the Bill of Materials (BOM).
- Assist in ensuring compliance with global automotive regulations (e.g., REACH, ELV, and SCIP).
- Collaborate with suppliers and customers to help obtain and validate material data.
- Conduct data analysis using IMDS tools such as Where Used Analysis.
- Gain an understanding of material reporting obligations and assist in aligning with international standards.
- Stay up-to-date with regulatory changes and their impact on IMDS submissions.
- Support the team in troubleshooting and resolving issues related to material data entries.
- Assist in training and consulting activities related to IMDS processes.
Qualifications:
- Current student in Chemistry, Environmental Engineering, Materials Science, or a related field.
- Interest in automotive regulations such as REACH, ELV, and SCIP.
- Basic skills in Microsoft Excel (advanced functions and VBA knowledge is a plus).
- Strong communication skills and the willingness to collaborate with global suppliers and customers.
- Fluent English is required
