CAMDS Training
(China Automotive Material Data System)

Module 1: Theoretical introduction

The first part of the training concentrates on the key theoretical foundations regarding the CAMDS system and the legal regulations in China:

• Legal requirements – discussion of Chinese legal regulations concerning compliance in the automotive industry (ELV-China), as well as other European and international regulations such as REACH, ELV, POPs, BPR.
• Comparison of CAMDS and IMDS – analysis of similarities and differences between these systems and their impact on material data management.
• Obligations related to CAMDS – introduction to the CAMDS system and its key principles.

Module 2: Working with the CAMDS System

In the second part, participants engage in practical work with the CAMDS system, including:

• System administration – understanding CAMDS administrative tools for users and legal entities.
• BSL (Basic Substance List) – participants will learn what substances are and their relationship to the GADSL and legal regulations.
• Working on products (MDS, MMDS, substance) – creating and implementing materials, components and semi-components, as well as building complex product structures.
• Data validation and submission – verification of material data received from suppliers and submission of material data to clients according to their official requirements.
• Data Analysis – Where Used Analysis (WuA) and MDS Detail Analysis.
